Mooresville, North Carolina (June 21, 2022) - G2G Racing is proud to announce Hickory Motor Speedway Late Model Series standout, Chase Janes, will look to rock and roll this weekend at the Nashville Superspeedway.

This comes after Janes, who took 6 wins in 2020, had what he would call a breakout season that year.

“Coming off of surgery in 2019, I knew it would be a climb to just get back to where I was,” said Janes of his success. “After a successful 2020 and 2021, I’m very blessed for the opportunity the team has given me.” 

The Fort Wayne, Indiana native began his racing career at age 7, showing an interest in go karts. The third generation racer moved from Nashville to Concord, NC with his family and began building his career. After starting a late model team with his father, Chase Janes showed signs of promise early in his campaign, with three top 10’s and a top 10 points finish at the end of the 2018 season.

After suffering a broken wrist during a wreck on lap one during opening night 2019, Janes was sidelined and required surgery, along with numerous physical therapy appointments. Once making his return in 2020, Chase Janes racked up six wins at Hickory, with four of those wins taken during the Paramount KIA Big 10 Challenge.

Janes does lay claim to one NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start, coming earlier this season at the Martinsville Speedway. In that effort, he finished 25th.

Knoxville, Iowa (June 20, 2022) - With the eight week stretch of the season nearing its end, G2G Racing was looking for a good run out of its No. 46 SparkS Energy Toyota Tundra on  Saturday Evening. Unfortunately, a good run turned sour in Bryson Mitchell’s first career start.

In the two practice sessions, Mitchell took a conservative approach running towards the back of the leaderboard. This slated him to start 10th in his Heat race, the next evening.

In his heat race, Mitchell methodically moved his way forward, finishing 8th. This would give him the 28th starting position in the evening’s Clean Harbors 150.

As the race started, Mitchell settled in, working his way to the front. He quickly started picking off trucks. By the end of stage 1, Mitchell found himself inside the Top-15, running 14th. The second highest running position that G2G Racing has been in all season.

As stage 2 started, a quick caution occurred, but this is where Mitchell’s evening went sour.

During the caution, he brought the truck to the attention of the crew, to discover a developing issue with the rear end. The crew was able to rectify it, but Mitchell lost three laps to the leaders.

Once the action on track continued, Mitchell looked for any way to get his laps back. Then, he day went sour for good, as something in the rear end finally went bad. This forced him behind the wall. After some time looking over the truck, the team determined that it could not be fixed at the track. Thus, ending his evening. He was credited with a 33rd place finish.

The team will load back up and head to the Music City for the series next race, the Rackley Roofing 200 at the Nashville Superspeedway. The action is slated to start at 8:00pm Eastern, with live coverage on Fox Sports 1 and SiriusXM Channel 90.

Mooresville, North Carolina (June 18th, 2022) - Bryson Mitchell will look to add his name to the list of first time starters in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series tonight at the Knoxville Raceway.

Mitchell will look to make it a brotherly affair, as his older brother, Braden Mitchell, will be attempting to make the field.

Bryson, although the younger brother, has an impressive dirt resume. He has ran many tracks throughout the southern United States, running at North Alabama Speedway and the famous Talladega Short Track.

He will look to navigate his No. 46 SparkS Energy Toyota into the field this evening.

​In early March of 2022, G2G Racing entered into a driving contract with Travis McCullough to drive the No. 47 at Sonoma Raceway on June 11th. It was understood what the driver and team responsibilities were. The driver was made aware of NASCAR requirements, meeting all medical rules provided by the sport. Including a negative drug screen, prior to the race.

Travis made G2G Racing aware that he waited until the week of the race to take the test. G2G Racing arrived in Sonoma with trucks and team, to learn that the results had not been reported to NASCAR. They (NASCAR) have a very strict policy for Rookie Drivers, that if they do not practice, they will not allow the driver to qualify and race. Travis had not received his results before practice, which forced G2G Racing to withdraw the No. 47 from the event.

“I feel sorry for Travis in this situation. It is very unfortunate, as I was looking forward to working with him at Sonoma” said crew chief Ryan Bell for the No. 47. “Travis has stated to multiple news sources that the truck was not prepared for the race. We, the team, were ready to practice, qualify, and race.”

“As part of this sport, unpredictable situations arise. I wanted to make sure G2G Racing tried to
help the sponsors in attendance that weekend,” Bell added.

“Tim Silva, crew chief of the No. 46 truck, invited the primary and associate sponsors to pit road for the race, in which accepted and had an amazing experience,” Viens stated. “I instructed Silva to get their contact information and we would place them on our trucks at a later date at no additional cost.”

Mooresville, North Carolina (June 7, 2022) - For the series’ trip to Wine Country, G2G Racing has enlisted the help of two local California drivers, Mason Filippi and Travis McCullough, to take on the 1.99-mile road course at the Sonoma Raceway.

Mason Filippi will be in the flagship No. 46 OpenFender.com Toyota Tundra this weekend, fresh off his first NASCAR Xfinity Series start last weekend at the Portland International Raceway. In his debut, Filippi finished 25th, on an overall rainy day in the Northwest.

Outside of NASCAR competition, Filippi competes in the TCR class of the Michelin Pilot Challenge for Bryan Herta Autosport. In the Pilot Challenge, he finished in second place in 2019 and third in 2020. Filippi also piloted touring cars in the TC America Series and the Pirelli World Challenge from 2017 to 2019, finishing in the top five of the standings each season.

The other newcomer to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is Travis McCullough. The Lodi, California native has been a staple running late models and modifieds, up and down the West Coast. He lays claim to multiple ARCA Menards Series West starts from 2007 to 2008. He also competes in the LUCAS OIL Modified Series, where he finished 3rd in championship points in 2019.

“Been a dream to run one of these trucks, McCullough said. “...Going back to my original roots of road racing in a new series. It will have its learning curves, but still will be one for the books.”

McCullough will pilot the team’s second entry, the No. 47 Toyota Tundra, that will make its first series appearance since Circuit of the Americas, where Sam Lecomte attempted to qualify the entry.

Madison, Illinois (June 5th, 2022) - The World Wide Technology Raceway was full of buzz and excitement, not only for the newest date on the NASCAR schedule, but for G2G Racing, as the team was looking to build up some momentum, heading into the final weeks of the longest stretch of the regular season.

In practice, Brennan Poole recorded a lap of 34.375 seconds in his No. 46 Toyota Tundra. In qualifying, as he has done all season, Poole picked up his ace, recording a lap of 33.979 seconds. This placed him in the 31st starting position for the Toyota 200.

As the field took the green flag, Poole looked to settle in, finding the right moves to make to get to the front. But early drama appeared as some of the trucks throughout the field did not get up to speed as quickly.

Poole evaded the mess, but it dropped him back to 35th. He settled in and began his hunt for the front. He quickly passed a few cars, as the field began to get strung out around the race track.

As the first stage began to draw to a close, the leaders began sneaking up on Poole. Unfortunately, some slow traffic infront of Poole pushed him a lap down to the leaders, missing his opportunity to be in the Lucky Dog position as the stage ended.

He then brought the truck to the attention of the crew, where they took tires, and made adjustments. After pit stops, this pushed Poole back to the last position in the field. Therefore, the only direction he could go is up.

A flurry of cautions at the start Stage 2 moved Poole up the leaderboard quickly.

By the time the smoke had cleared from all the cautions, Poole found himself in 31st. During the stage break, Poole brought his Tundra down pit road for service, as the truck had developed a vibration. The team did a quick look over of the truck and could not find any issues. Therefore, they sent him back out.

As the field went back to green, smoke began to come out of the back of Poole’s truck. This forced NASCAR to wave the black flag for Poole to fix the issue.

Poole then pulled behind the wall, where the team was unable to fix the problem. This resulted in a 34th place finish.

G2G Racing will look for some luck next week, as the series heads out to the Sonoma Raceway for the Door Dash 250. The action will get started at 7:30pm Eastern, with the race being broadcasted live on Fox Sports 1 and on SiriusXM NASCAR, Channel 90.
