Mooresville, North Carolina (October 10, 2023) - G2G Racing will have a familiar lineup for the Baptist Health 200 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Armani Williams will join the team, in addition to having BlueSprig join the team, as a primary sponsor for the event.
“We are excited to have Armani (Williams) and BlueSprig back,” owner Tim Viens said. “He is a great addition to our team and our sport. He brings his enthusiasm and a winning attitude, which as we build our program, is a great trait to have.”
Williams returns to the team with the same mission as before. Bring awareness to the Autism Community. Williams is a 21-year-old professional stock car driver that is the first professional driver in NASCAR openly diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ASD refers to a disorder currently diagnosed through symptoms, which involve difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors. But he has worked to overcome all barriers to jump behind the wheel and make his dream become a reality.
He uses his racing career as a platform to draw awareness and acceptance to Autism, and create better life outcomes for families impacted by the disorder.
In his first start of the season, Williams was racing well inside the Top-25 at the Texas Motor Speedway, before a late race accident ended his run.
He has also joined the team at Charlotte and IRP.
Action will get started at 12:00pm Eastern, for the Baptist Health 200. The race will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1, while radio coverage will be available on NASCAR SiriusXM, Channel 90.
