Las Vegas, Nevada (March 6, 2023) - G2G Racing was looking for an improved run from last season, but uncontrollable issues forced an early exit from the race.

The team unloaded in the warm Nevada sunlight for the evening’s Victoria’s Voice 200. The team was looking to bounce back after Daytona sent home the team’s lone entry.

The team rolled the No. 46 South Point Casino & Hotel Tundra through technical inspection with no issues, as the team began to prepare the truck for practice and qualifying. As the team began to warm the truck up, both driver Brennan Poole and team felt confident that the truck was going to perform well throughout the upcoming sessions and in the race.

In practice, Poole was able to lay down a lap of 31.096 seconds. This placed him 28th on the overall speed chart.

For qualifying, the team elected to not qualify, as the team was already locked into the field. Therefore, they were allowed more time to prepare the truck to go the distance in the evening’s 200-mile event.

As twilight gave way to evening, Poole and team grew anxious for the race to start, and show what the team could do.

Because of sitting out of practice, Poole rolled off 35th on the grid, as the team made unapproved adjustments before the trucks rolled onto the grid.

As Poole took the green flag, he rocked around the slower trucks, vaulting 8 positions within the opening laps.

“Truck feels great,” Poole reported back to the team in the opening laps.

On lap 20, one of Poole’s competitors hit the wall and spun, bringing out the first caution of the race. Poole was behind the accident, but he quickly navigated around the accident to no injury to his machine. Then, this is when lady luck decided to turn on Poole and his No. 46 Tundra.

Under caution, Poole reported that the truck had power and was running, but had no drive. Therefore, he brought it to the attention of the crew, where they chose to take the truck behind the wall to diagnose the problem.

Unfortunately, the rear gear had experienced a catastrophic failure, forcing the team out of the event. Poole was credited with a 33rd place finish.

The team will regroup, as the series takes a week off before heading to the Atlanta Motor Speedway for the FR8 208, on March 18th. The action will get rolling at 2:00pm Eastern, live on Fox Sports 1 and NASCAR Sirius XM, Channel 90.
